Ways to up your bedroom vibe for this coming Valentine’s Day or any other night for that matter!

With a few easy tweaks, your most personal space can be styled to be a seductive reflection of who you are. Whether it’s Valentine’s Day with your lover or any random night, these ideas will help you to vamp and ramp up this very personal and individual space.

Layer your Lighting

If you shift the lighting to diffused and layered you’ll really start to create a provocative bedroom environment. Consider swapping standard lamps for a dimmer Edison bulb or look for bedside lamps that come with dimmers, so you can turn down the light when you want to set the mood. Candles are a tried-and-true romantic accessory and locating them in unexpected areas will add mystery and softness to your scheme.  Theres just something about the dance of the flame that’s incredibly sensuous. Plus, scented candles can help add a little perfume to the air and create a romantic atmosphere.

Layer your Softs

Lots of sensual textures will create a restful and sexy ambiance. Textures emit warmth, cosiness and a feeling of trust, you can never have enough texture!

Spurge on your bed and your bedding

It makes sense to outfit the most important fixture in your bedroom with luxe items so invest in fresh sumptuous sheets that will perk up your bedroom and instil a lavish and cosseted ambience.

Create a pretty Personal Spot

In the bedroom, your bedside table is your most personal space, own it by making it beautiful and style it for both you and your partners needs and loves.

Keep it tech-free

The bedroom should be a soothing relaxing place, that means No phones, no TV, no computer!

Curvy is hip in more ways than one!

Curvy pieces help to visually break up straight lines so think about introducing more curves in your bedroom. A round stool or mirror cushion even will automatically make your space feel more snug and cosy. Too many angles or lines can make a space feel visually aggressive and masculine.

Add scent

You can transform any space by diffusing it with attractive and inviting aromas. scented candles, diffusers and essential oils. To spark a little passion, consider using an oil such as patchouli, jasmine, or cinnamon. These essential oils can increase circulation, improve blood flow, and intensify desire. Invest in an oil burner or a reed diffuser, and let your sense of smell enhance your bedroom experiences.

Soften with full length curtains

Curtains can be interlined which provides another layer of fabric or you could opt for blinds and curtains.
Window dressings of any sort are the perfect finishing touch as they add polish and elegance to a space. Try not to over complicate your space, the days of fussy frills, pleats, swags and drapes have long gone. I like to think of curtains as a lovely embellishment.

Declutter & clean

Too much clutter can cause restlessness. If your room suffers from too much stuff, get rid and if you’ve furniture overload perhaps try converting one of your spare bedrooms into a dressroom.

Add Colour

Soothing colours and soothing sounds make for great relaxation.
Apparently soft blue is the ideal colour to paint a bedroom as well as neutrals and soft greens.

Add more green in other ways

Plants, green textiles, and accessories will instantly ground your space and make it more soothing. Every room should have some plants or flowers (real or faux!), bedroom included.

Pop in a few Props

Finally add your props, music from a small wireless speaker is a great way to bring a little atmosphere to your bedroom. This is an area you can go overboard on display too such as beautiful jewellery boxes, perfumes, artwork, mementos and anything else that makes you feel cosseted and that you love.💕
